#She was so different back then. #But so entirely the same. #Her heart was open but closed. #It’s like an iron door. #People in her life could only prop it open. #But only in the minimal way provided by a foot or door jam perhaps.#Only until Peter Bishop came along did that door basically get blown off its hinges.#And it took a while and a lot of pushing. #But the pushing truthfully was never met with much resistance. #Peter just had the respect and tentativeness to open it slowly and cautiously. #Rather than try to force it open with professing love to her in a random hotel. #That’s always been my favorite thing about Peter. #If John had known Olivia he wouldn’t have put her on the spot emotionally like that. #Or initiated the start of such a weighty commitment. #Lucas pushed on her buttons and pulled her into that kissing jag as she dug her heels into the ground. #And she ONLY gave into that because you could see her need to feel normal written across her face in technicolor. #BUT PETER. #Peter Bishop that magnificent rascal. #He backed off.#He made his feelings known without making Olivia commit to anything or force her into a corner. #And he put the ball in her court. #Without pressuring her into making a decision either way. #Or any way. #He decided to hold her decision in the highest of regards. #And then finally to honor them. #He’s always known Olivia struggles with ‘this sort of thing.’ #And he has never made her feel awkward about it. #I mean Olivia HAS been awkward around his actions. #But I don’t think it was ever Peter’s doing but her own emotions manifesting as such. #Who DOESN’T covet the type of person that will trust them implicitly and cherish them always?
